Will Wonders never cease!

This morning in my quiet time, I was reading in Proverbs 24 (because today is the 24) that wisdom is too lofty for a fool and that it's wisdom that makes us strong enough to make right decisions. Well, I moved on, drank my coffee and drove to work.
While reading some of the emails I received over night I came across an email from Author Randy Alcorn. (only because I'm on his mailing list, did I tell you, he's my favorite author?) He made mention of a recent Barnas Survey of 35,000 professing Christians. In this survey 57% said they believe that there is more than one way to get to heaven. This 57% believe that different religions have different ways to get to heaven, but they will get there by their own beliefs. Now this was from supposedly professing Christians. Now the thought comes to mind, that several years ago, Billy Graham made the statement that 50% of people who have their names on church roles are lost people. As I travel from church to church, I'm wondering if he was being gracious in his thinking of only 50% being lost. What has happened to TRUTH. John 14:6 just becomes a thought rather than real TRUTH if these people are right. If these people are right then my Bible becomes a book of fiction and is a marriage of writings of ignorant people then. I'm here to proclaim, that My God is an Awesome God, He reigns and takes a back seat to no one or nothing. He is the ony way, He is the only TRUTH and He is the ony Life and HE says NO ONE CAN COME TO HIS FATHER EXCEPT TRHOUGH HIM! What is this world coming to? It is coming to an end as we know it and I'm believing that we might just hear the shout of His coming at any time. Please be ready people, please be ready, for He will come when we least expect Him and then????????????

I have a feeling that 50% is VERY gracious. There are going to be a lot of surprised people one day (soon). The sad part is when you think of older people who have heard the Gospel but didnt believe - they will know (maybe) that if they dont take the mark they will not be able to get their meds or food and will take it out of fear. OR what about kids who are of age, but put off making a decision for the Lord who will be left on their own.........

Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!1

If you think about it (of course with the Holy Spirit's help), the idea that there would be "many paths" to heaven is ludicrous. What would be heavenly about everyone and everybody getting there by "their own" interpretation of what is right? That's not heaven...that's the world we live in NOW!! I, like Jesus, want as many as will accept the truth to come with me to heaven...because I know if they have Him as their LORD and Savior, then we will have a great time there. But if they want to get there by their own stubborn notions, then sorry...it's a no go for them and I hate to say it, but for that I am greatful. I want only those who will LOVE my Jesus and accept His terms (which I wish could be EVERY LIVING SOUL) to come to heaven. Does that make sense? I feel like I'm Bething...I..I mean rambling. Ha Ha! Blessings my wise counselor.

I was thinking on this very thing the other day. Today a few of us from Mother's Day out were out in a local restaurant letting the kids play and talking about a few we know who we think need Jesus. A few tell you they know him, but when you press them for a "how do you know" there answers are anything but the real answer. I read a statistics but like Beth I think the 50 percent if gracious. Sobering and should challenge us all to be viligent to win those we know and be ready with an answer for those who ask. Thanks for posting those thoughts.....

LuAnn, what does viligent mean?

Hey Greg..."Viligent" means that
I didn't proofread my spelling. ( Eddie, Greg has to much time on his hands...make him leave me alone..he likes to pick on me!)

the correct word should have been:

vigilant

Main Entry: vig·i·lant
Pronunciation: \ˈvi-jə-lənt\
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English (Scots), from Latin vigilant-, vigilans, from present participle of vigilare to keep watch, stay awake, from vigil awake
Date: 15th century
: alertly watchful especially to avoid danger

Does that answer your question Greg?

make that "too much time" istead of "to".. don't want Greg wasting blog space to correct me!

Greg, you don't ever correct a teacher! Because they will always win. Notice how much information Luann gave you back after your correction. Brother, all I can say is, Best let good enough alone. I love it when a plan comes together.
