Is Chrsit seen in you?

1 Corinthians 15:3-8

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred bretheren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.

Well what a great day we just celebrated the resurrection of our Lord and Savior and we are one day closer to our resurrection which is our hope in Christ. The Gospel is about Christ and the Crucifiction and the Cross and it would mean absolutely nothing without the resurrection. One thing that I noticed as I was reading the above scripture is that God wanted Christ to be seen after the resurrection and scripture list several people or groups of people who saw Christ. Well, the world today doesn't have that opportunity to see the risen Lord unless, He is seen in you or me. Yes, we can verify the scriptures by showing the risen Lord in us. According to scriputres, when the resurrected Lord steps out of heaven and into our hearts, change occurs. Without change, there is no Christ. Two questions that Christians need to answer today. 1. Has changed occurred since Christ came into my life and what is that change? 2. Because of that change, can others see the resurrected Christ in my life? If you were the only evidence of Christ resurrection, would there be enough proof to prove it?

I challenge each of you to read April 5,6,7,8,9,10 of My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers. Awesome thoughts and such precision on the Cross of Christ.

God help us to allow you to be seen by those whom we come into contact with everyday.

Thought provoking post...and very true.

I don't have "My Utmost for His Highest" (I am ashamed to say...I have hard about that book for years), but I will check it out of the library and read those designated readings. I am curious to see if it doesn't challenge to go farther in our walk. I WANT people to see Christ in me, but i feel I fail so many times during the day...at work AND at home. It is very discouraging. But I know He loves me, in spite of my failings.
