Bible Test # 2

OKAY--It's obvious that I must go a little deeper if I am to stump you. Lisa was the first to complete every question and answer each question correctly and have her person complete the questions also. Now this test is a little harder. So please answer each of the questions completely and don't forget I have two fold reasons for doing this. I want you to open your Bible, search for the answer and I also want new blogging friends who will drop in occassionally. Each time the questions will get harder and I will also throw in a Math quiz just to make you think. Here goes!
Let me also say that these questions will cause you to engage the entire scriptures as known to man. This should be a good clue for you as you search out these answers.

1. There were several times in scriptures that people were mentioned but their names were not given. Name at least six persons who fit this category. Tell me their names and where you were able to find this information.

2. Who were the 20 kings of Judah? Name them in their canonical order.

3. A man spends 20% of the cash in his wallet. Then he spends 20% of the cash that remains in his wallet. He spends $36.00 in all. How much csh did he originally have in his wallet?

4. Challenge someone who does not normally read my blog to answer these questions. They must log in and give me anwers in order for you to complete the test.

Good luck and there is a prize for the first to complete this test with 100% correct answers and has their blogging friend log in. You can work together or separate, but both must log in with correct answers.

Okay, Bible I can do, but when you throw math in there, well, you know how bad I am at math ---- consider me disqualified because of stupidity.

Just save your postage and put EACH of my winnings in one check in one envelope!

Unnamed people:
1. The woman at the well - the Samaritan woman - John 4:7-30
2.-3. The "two witnesses" - Revelation 11:3-13 (that is actually 2 people
4. Lot's wife - better known as the pillar of salt - Genesis 19
5. Lot's daughter - (there were actually two in this passage) Genesis 19
6. Jesus sister - (he had at least two) - mentioned in Mark 3, 32-34 and Matthew 12 and 50

Obviously the scriptures did not name these people (which is why they are nameless). However, your instructions said to give their names...quite confusing but not completely impossible.

There are references to some of these people in the non-canonized scriptures which do give names to some. I thought it interesting so I thought I would add:
1. Woman at the well - the Eastern Orthodox church records her name as Photini
2-3. Two witnesses - guess we won't know for sure until it happens but thought to be Elija, Enoch, Moses or two other people - not known
4. Lot's wife - Ado - Book of Jasher
5. - Lot's daughter - Paltith - Book of Jasher
6. Jesus sister - Maria - Gospel according to Phillipus

Now for the Kings and remember you said the Kings of Judah:

Rehoboam, Abijam, Asa, Jehoshaphat, Jehoram, Ahaziah, Athaliah, Jehoash, Amaziah, Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, Manasseh, Amon, Josiah, Jehoahaz, Jehoiakim, Jehoiachin, Zedekiah

Just to be accurate, David and Solomon also reigned over Judah before any of these kings, but they reigned over Israel as well. So, I guess you didn't want them.

The math question answer is $100 - 20% of $100 = $20
20% of (100-20) = $16
$16 + $20 = $100 originally in his wallet - this was for Bethanne, just to help her out

And for the last question, I am working on it.

For future reference, this took too much time and was too hard. Maybe you could make it a little easier. My homework doesn't usually take this long! Let's get some good math problems in here!

OKAY to you who complain that just because they are nameless when first mentioned doesn't mean that at some place else in scriptures, they are not named. Beth, you can do this, Greg you can do this, Lisa, you can do this but so far you are wrong. I can't tell you where or it would give others perhaps the answers, Mitchell, you can do this, but just like Lisa, you are wrong but I can't tell you where.
